kurakura - Scrunchie

Dimensions: approx. 4 cm x 20 cm, with strong rubber from Endek offcuts.

Endek is a type of ikat woven by hand in Bali. With this technique, the warp thread is dyed before weaving, which then creates the pattern upon weaving.

The hair ties are sewn in Bali by Eviani as part of the #PPKMproject. She only uses remnants of fabric from clothing production to avoid fabric waste.

The PPKMproject is a social sewing project and sews simple products with people who have previously worked in tourism.
