Swiss design studio
The Swiss design studio, oha studio, was founded in 2018 by Mario Vontobel with the aim of creating products that surprise with their functionality and stand out with their simplicity.
With Vessel, oha studio debuts a vase that can also be used as a carafe.
The first design for Vessel arose after searching for a shape that is both suitable for pouring and for presenting flowers. During an exchange in Finland, where there is a lot to learn about ceramics, various experiments with the surface and firing process were made before the first prototype was created.
During my time in Stockholm working as a designer for Shane Schneck, I got to know a ceramic manufacturer in Portugal, who is now producing the vase for us.
